After the initial project designs came in over budget, Donlar’s team worked with the owner and architect to provide value engineering cost savings in excess of $942,000. During the project, the PM and Superintendent provided an additional $124,000 in material and building upgrades through efficient management of work schedules, vigorous coordination with subcontractors and constant communication with the owner. This new building consists of an office complex, emergency operations center, maintenance areas and heated storage facility for the Wildland Firefighting agency on Red Lake reservation.
